Project partners

This semester we - the project group - are working on the research project in cooperation with practice partners. The industry partner is SOS Children's Villages Austria and another partner is our university, the Management Center Innsbruck.

SOS-Children´s Village

The first SOS Children's Village was founded by Hermann Gmeiner in Imst in 1949. The non- profit and non-government organization envisions that every child belongs to a family and grows up with love, respect and security. The work is founded on four principles: The Mother, Brothers and Sisters, The House, The Village. Today, SOS Children's Villages is a world-renowned organization and is present in 137 countries. SOS Children's Villages established over 550 SOS Children's Villages and has built over 1500 other programs in child and youth care and family strengthening.

Management Center Innsbruck

Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) is an Entrepreneurial University of Applied Scienceslocated in Innsbruck. More than 3,000 students are currently pursuing their studies at the MCI. There are also more than 300 full- time lecturers at the MCI. During the "Nonprofit, Social and Health Care Management" bachelor’s degree program, students specialize in the respective areas in the fourth semester. Within this specialization, students are linked with industry partners in order to work with them on projects. Based on a detailed problem definition the students to apply their previously acquired knowledge in practice and to find solutions to the identified problem.
